The induction is the first step towards joining the studio. It is 1.5 hours long and demonstrates the basics of paper screenprinting.

On completion of the induction participants automatically become Pay-As-You-Go members

More experienced people are welcome to apply for Full membership by taking the Competency test. The test is a written and practical exercise based in the studio.

For ages - 18+ years

Skill level -  beginner with some experience and understanding of the process

• Saturday 5th April, 3pm-4.30pm

What does it cover?

• Introduction to the studio and Health & Safety

• Art-working and screen prep

• Best practice and safe use of key equipment: Flatbed and hinge-clamp station

• Set-up and print of a 1-colour design

• Clean down and reclaiming screens

• How to buy inks and papers

• Next steps for using the studio: full membership, pay-as-you-go membership, 1:1 course / 4-week paper screenprinting course

What to bring?

• Participants should bring something to take notes

• We ask participants do not bring their own images as it will be provided on the day

COURSE CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULEMENT POLICY

1. Changes made 7 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund. 

2. Changes made within 3 - 6 days will incur a 30% fee. 

3. Changes made within 2 days or less will not receive any refund.
