Who cannot join: Membership is not open to commercial print businesses and/or individuals who print other people's artwork and/or designs

Experience required: Membership is open to people who have at least attended a screenprint/riso course or studied it as part of their education. It is strongly recommended that people with no knowledge or experience complete a course prior to applying for membership

Suitable for ages: Pay-As-You-Go membership is suitable for ages 16 years+. Full membership is suitable for ages 18 years+

THE MEMBERSHIP

Types of membership: There are two types of membership - PAY-AS-YOU-GO MEMBERSHIP and FULL MEMBERSHIP

About membership: All applicants start as a Pay-As-You-Go member unless they have opted for Full membership and successfully completed the competency test. Our aim is to see members working independently in the studio as Full members. Therefore Pay-As-You-Go membership acts as a bridge to support members whilst they build on their skills and can lead to Full membership

Subscriptions:

  • Pay-As-You-Go membership is an ongoing subscription under the condition at least 1 session is attended every 3 months. The subscription starts immediately proceeding the induction

  • Full membership is a renewable subscription of 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. The subscription starts the 1st of the proceeding month

JOINING

  • Beginners and experienced applicants enter into the same joining process by attending an induction

  • All applicants start as a Pay-As-You-Go member unless they opt for Full membership

  • Applicants need only complete the induction(s) in the print technique(s) they wish to practice in the studio. Choosing from: Paper screenprinting induction / Textiles screenprinting induction / Riso induction

  • Applicants can opt for Full membership on their membership form

  • Applicants who opt for Full membership should expect to attend a second appointment to take the competency test. The test is a 1-hour written and practical exercise based in the studio. On completion of the test applicants will receive feedback on their performance and be referred to the most suitable membership for them at that point
