The induction is the first step towards joining the studio. It is 1.5 hours long and demonstrates the basics of textiles screenprinting

On completion of the induction participants automatically become Pay-As-You-Go members

More experienced people are welcome to apply for Full membership by taking the Competency test. The test is a written and practical exercise based in the studio

For ages - 18+ years

Skill level - beginner with some experience and understanding of the process

• Saturday 5th April, 1.30pm-3pm

What does it cover?

• Introduction to the studio and Health & Safety

• Art-working and screen prep

• Talk about inks and curing times

• Best practice and safe use of key equipment: M&R Carousel, flash-unit and tunnel dryer

• Set-up and print of a 1-colour design on the carousel

• Clean down and reclaiming screens

• How to buy inks and source garments

• Next steps for using the studio: full membership, pay-as-you-go membership, 1:1 course / 4-week t-shirt screenprinting course

What to bring?

• Participants should bring something to take notes

• We ask participants do not bring their own images as it will be provided on the day

COURSE CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULEMENT POLICY

1. Changes made 7 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund. 

2. Changes made within 3 - 6 days will incur a 30% fee. 

3. Changes made within 2 days or less will not receive any refund.
