Riso membership  

 

Skill level & requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be 18+ years old

  • Have completed the Riso studio induction

  • Be proficient using either the scanner for analog-based work and/or printing digital files with the riso.

  • Have an active gmail account in order to access the studio calendar


MEMBERSHIP

We offer regular and concessionary rates (for people aged 60+yrs and students currently in higher or further education)  

1/ SHORT TERM MEMBERSHIP

  • Half day (3hours) £15 / £13.50 (concessions)

  • Full day (5 hours) £25 / £22.50 (concessions)

2/ LONG TERM MEMBERSHIP

  • 3 months £100 / £90 (concessions)

  • 6 months £150 / £135 (concessions)

  • 1 year £180 / £162 (concessions)

3/ FREEZE MEMBERSHIP AND KEEP USER ID ON RISO (fixed rate)

  • 2 weeks £8

  • 1 month £12

  • 1-3 months £15 + refresher induction fee £10


USING THE RISO WITHOUT MEMBERSHIP

ONE-OFF PROJECTS (no induction needed)

  • 1 hour £30 + printing costs

  • Half day (3hours) £75 + printing costs

  • Extra time £20 per additional hour

Access

  • Members have independent access via Google calendar

  • Can book 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends between the hours of 8.30am till 10pm


Benefits  

  • Members have a personal user ID on the riso which automatically records a tally of masters/copies used on your account

  • Shared access to the main studio facilities for preparing artwork. This includes: very large table space, large light-box, A2 guillotine and a shed load of pens, pencils, rulers, long-arm stapler, booklet-maker stapler, cutting mats, glue, scalpels, poscas, ink and brushes, all the good stuff!

Print credit

Print credit is made up of masters and copies. A “master” refers to the physical sheet which your image is reproduced on. A “copy” refers to the number of actual physical prints. Members buy print credit as needed and can top-up as they go. The riso machine automatically keeps a tally of individuals' print credit levels

In the studio we stock a range of papers suitable for riso printing - uncoated, A3 size, in neutral shades and 100g-240g weight
